Best Slam run came in 2002 at age 20

His deepest Grand Slam result was the French Open R16 in 2002, when he was 20. That same year he also reached the Wimbledon R64, making 2002 his strongest season by round reached.

Only one second-week appearance, and it was early

Across 51 tournaments and 95 matches, he reached the round of 16 just once. After that 2002 peak, his best results were six R32 finishes, showing he never returned to the second week.

Late-career results were mostly first-round exits

From 2013 through 2017, he recorded nine R128 finishes in 13 Grand Slam appearances. The only exceptions were a 2013 Wimbledon R64, a 2014 US Open R64, and a 2016 US Open R64.

2010 was his last strong Slam season before the gap

French Open was his most productive major by depth

His French Open results include his career-best R16 in 2002, plus R32 finishes in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2009, and an R32 in 2012. That is a stronger cluster than at the other Slams, where his best was R16 only at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.
