Two breakthrough runs came at age 16

Paszek’s best Grand Slam results were two quarterfinals, and both came in 2007 at age 16. Those were also her deepest finishes of the entire 29-tournament career.

Her strongest Slam was Wimbledon

Wimbledon produced her two quarterfinals and two round-of-16 results, making it the only major where she repeatedly reached the second week. Across the other Slams, her best results were only R16 at the US Open and R64 at the Australian Open and French Open.

After 2007, she never returned to the second week

All four of her second-week appearances came in 2007, and none of her 45 later Grand Slam matches went beyond the third round. From 2008 through 2016, her best result was R64, achieved three times.

Her career was front-loaded, then flattened into early exits

She won 20 of 49 Grand Slam matches overall, but 2007 alone supplied 10 of those wins. In the remaining nine seasons, she never again produced a run comparable to her debut year, and 2014-2016 brought only R128 or R64 exits.

She was a rare Austrian standout in Grand Slam volume

Among women from Austria in the Open Era, Paszek ranks #2 of 23, and she is #231 of 1956 overall. Her 29 Slam tournaments and 49 matches place her well above most players in the broader Open Era field.
