Best run came at Roland Garros in 1998

Delgado’s top Grand Slam result was the 1998 French Open R16 at age 21. His other best finishes were two R32s, both at the US Open in 2001 and 2002.

US Open was his most productive major

He played the US Open seven times and produced all three of his deepest runs there: R32 in 2001 and 2002, plus R64 in 2003. Across those seven appearances, he also had three R128 exits.

1999 was his only four-Slam season

In 1999 he entered all four majors, but every result was R128. That was the only year in the data where he appeared at each Slam in the same season.

His career peaked early, then faded to first-round exits

From 1996 through 2003 he reached at least the R64 six times, including the R16 in 1998. After that, his last three Slam appearances in 2004, 2006 and 2010 all ended at R128.

Long gaps define the back half of his Slam career

After 2004, Delgado missed the majors in 2005 and then returned only for the 2006 US Open before another four-year gap to Wimbledon in 2010. His Grand Slam career is split into 1996-1999, 2001-2004, 2006 and 2010.
