Peak came late, with a lone Slam final at age 30

Tauziat’s best Grand Slam result was one final, reached at Wimbledon in 1998 when she was 30. Across 53 tournaments and 154 matches, that was her only appearance beyond the quarterfinal stage.

Wimbledon was her strongest major

Her Wimbledon record includes the final in 1998, quarterfinals in 1997, 1999, and 2001, plus fourth-round runs in 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1993. No other Slam produced as many deep finishes.

French Open showed the widest range, from debut exit to quarterfinal level

At Roland Garros she opened with a first-round exit in 1984, then reached the quarterfinals in 1991 and the round of 16 in 1988, 1987, 1990, and 1992. Her French Open results also include multiple early exits, including R128 in 1989, 1998, and 2001.

Her best stretch came in the early 1990s

From 1990 through 1993, she reached at least the round of 16 in every Slam she entered, including three straight R16 results in 1990 and another three in 1993. That four-year span contains most of her deepest runs before the later-career Wimbledon surge.

She stayed competitive into her 30s, but results became more uneven

At ages 31 to 33, she still reached Wimbledon quarterfinals in 1999 and 2001 and the US Open quarterfinals in 2000, but also posted several early exits such as Wimbledon R128 in 2000 and French Open R128 in 2001.
