Seven titles came in a remarkably concentrated peak

Wilander’s seven Grand Slam titles are spread across only five seasons: 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1988. That run includes three title years in a row from 1982 to 1984, then another title in 1985, and a final three-title season in 1988.

1988 was his most dominant Slam season
