One semifinal, and it came at the Australian Open

Werdel’s best Grand Slam result was a single semifinal, recorded at the 1995 Australian Open at age 27. Her other listed best finishes were four round-of-32 runs and nine round-of-64 runs.

Her peak stretch was 1991-1995

From 1991 through 1995, she reached at least the round of 64 in every Grand Slam appearance listed, including two round-of-32 results in 1991 and 1993. That five-year span contains her only semifinal and most of her deeper runs.

Australian Open was her strongest major overall

Across her Australian Open results, she went from R32 in 1987 and 1989 to R64 in 1988, 1992, and 1994, then to the semifinal in 1995. No other Slam produced a result as deep as that semifinal.

Her results were strongest in her mid-20s

At ages 23 to 27, she produced all of her round-of-32 and semifinal results, plus multiple round-of-64 finishes. By age 28 and 29, her listed results had dropped to four straight R128 exits in 1996-1997.

She was a frequent main-draw presence but rarely advanced far

Werdel played 37 Grand Slam tournaments and 59 matches, finishing 22-37 for a 37% win rate. Despite that volume, her results were concentrated in early-round exits: nine R64s and four R32s, alongside many R128 finishes.
