Peak results came in a three-year window

Allen’s best Grand Slam finishes were four Round-of-16 runs, all between 1979 and 1982. She reached that stage at the 1979 French Open, 1980 French Open, 1981 French Open, and 1982 Australian Open.

French Open was her most productive major

Her strongest tournament by volume of deep runs was the French Open: one R16, two R64s, and two R128s across five appearances. That is more top-end consistency there than at any other Slam in the table.

1981 was her broadest season across the majors

In 1981 she played all four Grand Slams and produced her best all-around year: R32 at the Australian Open, R16 at the French Open, R32 at Wimbledon, and R128 at the US Open. No other season in the data shows four Slam entries with three different rounds reached.

Her results declined sharply after 1982

After the 1982 Australian Open R16, every listed result from 1982 through 1985 was R64 or worse. The sequence is R64, R128, R128, R128, R128, and then R64, showing no return to the second week.

She was most successful in her mid-20s

All four of her R16 finishes came at ages 22, 23, 24, and 25, while her later appearances at ages 26 to 28 never went beyond R64. The data therefore places her peak Grand Slam level squarely before age 26.
