Peak Grand Slam run came at the 2007 US Open

Lee Hyung-taik’s best result was a single R16, achieved at the 2007 US Open at age 31. That was one of only two times he reached the round of 16, the other coming in the same tournament in 2000.

His career was heavily concentrated in the early 2000s

His best Wimbledon finish was R32, but he also reached R64 four times and R128 three times there. At the US Open, he ranged from R16 to R128, including the two R16 runs and two R32 finishes.

His late-career decline was abrupt in 2008

After reaching R16 in 2007 and R32/R64 results in 2005-06, he went 0-for-4 in 2008, losing in the first two rounds at both Wimbledon and the US Open and reaching only R64 at the Australian and French Opens.
