Peak came in 1987 with his only quarterfinal run

Evernden’s best Grand Slam result was the 1987 Australian Open quarterfinal, reached at age 25. That same year he also made the round of 32 at both the US Open and Wimbledon, making 1987 his clear high-water mark.

His best results were concentrated in a short mid-career window

All of his top finishes came between 1985 and 1988: one quarterfinal, two round-of-32 runs, and one round-of-64 result. After 1988, he never advanced beyond the round of 128 in any of the seven listed Slam appearances from 1989 to 1991.

Australian Open was his strongest major overall

Evernden’s Grand Slam record shows 21 tournaments, 34 matches, and a 13-21 win-loss mark, which is a 38% winning rate. That means he averaged just over one win per Slam appearance, despite a seven-year Grand Slam span from 1985 to 1991.

His results declined steadily after age 25

At ages 23 to 25, he reached the round of 64, round of 32, and quarterfinal. From age 26 onward, his best result was the round of 64 once in 1989, followed by four straight round-of-128 exits at age 28 and 29.
