Peak years came in 1983, when she reached two semifinals

Her best Grand Slam results are two semifinals, and both came in 1983: at the French Open and the US Open. That same season also included an Australian Open quarterfinal, making 1983 her clear peak year in the data.

She made her deepest runs before age 24

All four of her top-four finishes occurred between ages 22 and 23. After turning 24, her results never again went beyond the round of 16, showing a sharp drop from her early-20s ceiling.

Wimbledon was her longest-running stage, but not her best one

Wimbledon appears in 19 of her 54 Grand Slam tournaments, more than any other event in the table. Yet her Wimbledon best was only two quarterfinal-equivalent rounds short of the semifinals, with a quarterfinal in 1984 and a semifinal never reached there.

Her late-career results were mostly first- or second-round exits

From 1988 through 1995, she reached the round of 16 only once, at the 1991 US Open. The rest of that stretch was dominated by R128 and R64 finishes, including four straight R128 results from 1992 to 1994 across Wimbledon and the US Open.

She was unusually strong at the Australian Open early on

Her Australian Open record includes a quarterfinal in 1983, a round of 16 in 1981, 1985, and 1987, and only one R128 result in the event data. That makes Australia one of her more productive majors relative to the later decline seen elsewhere.
