French Open was his clear best Slam

His strongest Grand Slam results all came at the French Open: four R32 finishes and seven R64 finishes, including his only R32s in 1976, 1979, and 1981. Across 20 Slam tournaments, that event supplied most of his deeper runs.

He peaked in his late 20s, not as a teenager

Caujolle’s best stretch came between ages 24 and 30, when he reached at least the R64 in six straight seasons from 1975 through 1982, with his best result at age 29 in 1981. His earliest Slam appearance was at 18 in 1970, but that was only an R128.

Wimbledon and the US Open were much less productive

Outside Paris, his results were mostly early exits: Wimbledon produced three R128s and one R64, while the US Open gave one R64 and one R128. That contrast shows a much narrower competitive profile than his French Open record.

His busiest Slam year was 1974

He played four Grand Slams in 1974, more than any other year listed, and reached the Australian Open R32 that season. The same year also included R128 finishes at the French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open.

His career was steady but rarely breakthrough-heavy

Over 35 matches he went 15-20, a 43% win rate, and never advanced beyond the round of 32. The distribution of results is concentrated at R128 and R64, with only four R32 finishes across 20 tournaments.
