Two fourth-round runs define his Grand Slam peak

Frana’s best results were two R16 finishes, at the 1994 French Open and 1994 US Open, both at age 27. No other Slam appearance went beyond the round of 32.

1994 was his strongest season by far

In 1994 he reached R16 twice and R32 once across three Slam starts. That is his only year with multiple results inside the top three rounds, and it accounts for both of his career-best finishes.

His Slam record was built on consistency, not deep runs

Across 27 tournaments and 49 matches, Frana finished with a 22-27 record, a 45% win rate. He reached at least the round of 64 in 13 of those 27 events, but only twice advanced to the round of 16.

He was most productive in his late 20s

Frana’s two R16 results came at age 27, and his other top-32 finishes at age 28 and 30. By contrast, his earliest Slam results at ages 20-25 were mostly R64 or R128 exits.

His career had two distinct Slam phases

He appeared in 1987-1989, then again from 1991-1997, with no Slam results listed for 1990. The later stretch produced all of his R16 and R32 results, while the earlier stretch peaked at R32 in 1987 and R64 in 1988-1989.
