Peak came in two quarterfinal runs

Her best Grand Slam results were two quarterfinals, and they came in consecutive years: the French Open in 1988 and 1989. Those were the only times she reached the last eight across 32 tournaments.

1990 was her strongest all-around Slam season

In 1990 she reached the Australian Open round of 32, the French Open round of 64, Wimbledon round of 128, and the US Open round of 64. That is her only season with four Slam appearances and no result worse than round of 128.

Early breakthrough at 17

At age 17 in 1987, she produced her deepest non-quarterfinal Slam results: round of 16 at the French Open and round of 32 at the US Open. Those two results stand out against her earlier 1985-86 exits, which were all in the first two rounds.

Late-career decline was abrupt

After reaching the Wimbledon round of 32 in 1993 at age 23, all four of her 1994 Slam results were earlier exits: three round-of-128 losses and one round of 64. That marks a clear drop from her 1990-93 level.

French Open was her most productive major

Her French Open record includes both quarterfinals, plus a round of 16 in 1987 and a round of 32 in 1990. By contrast, Wimbledon never got beyond round of 32, and the Australian Open never got beyond round of 32 either.
