His only title came after a steady climb

2003 was his strongest all-around Slam season

In 2003 he reached the French Open semifinal, the Australian Open round of 32, and the US Open round of 64. That was his only season with three results at or beyond the round of 64, and it included his second-best Slam finish.

Late-career decline was sharp and immediate

After the 2003 semifinal, his next five Slam results were all early exits: two round-of-128 losses in 2004, then three more in 2005. Across those eight tournaments from 2004-2005, he never advanced beyond the round of 32.

He was most productive in his mid-20s

His deepest results clustered between ages 24 and 28: the 2000 French Open quarterfinal, the 2002 title at 26, and the 2003 semifinal at 27. By age 29-30 in 2004-2005, every Slam result was a round-of-128 exit.
