Peak came early, with two second-week runs in 1995-96

Draper’s best Grand Slam results were both R16 finishes, at the 1995 French Open and 1996 French Open. Those were his only second-week appearances, and they came when he was 21 and 21.

His strongest season was 1997 by depth of results

In 1997 he reached the R16 at the US Open and the R32 at the Australian Open, while also posting an R128 at Wimbledon and the French Open. That is his only year with two results beyond the opening round.

Australian Open and French Open were his most productive majors

He reached at least the R64 four times at the Australian Open and four times at the French Open, including the two R16s in Paris. By contrast, Wimbledon produced only one R64 and the US Open only one R32 and one R16.

His career trended downward after 1998

After reaching the R64 or better in all four majors in 1998, Draper never again advanced past the R128 in a full season except for a single R64 at Wimbledon in 2002 and 2003. His final three appearances in 2005 were all first-round exits.

He played a long Grand Slam span but with limited volume

Draper’s Grand Slam career ran from 1995 to 2005, yet he entered only 34 tournaments and played 54 matches. That works out to 20 wins and 34 losses, a 37% win rate.
