Peak came in 1996, with a semifinal run at Roland Garros

Rosset’s best Grand Slam result was the 1996 French Open semifinal at age 25. That was his only semifinal, and it stands out above his lone quarterfinal and four Round-of-16 finishes.

Wimbledon was his most productive major overall

Across 14 Wimbledon appearances, he reached the Round of 16 once, the Round of 32 once, and the Round of 64 five times. No other Slam produced as many deep finishes, even though he never went beyond the fourth round there.

Australian Open showed his strongest early-career form

His best Australian Open result was the 1999 quarterfinal at age 28, and he also reached the Round of 16 in 1992. That makes Australia the only Slam where he combined a quarterfinal with an earlier Round-of-16 run.

His late-career decline was abrupt after 2000

In 2000 he still reached the Wimbledon Round of 16 and three other Round of 64s, but from 2001 through 2003 he never advanced past the Round of 128 except for one Wimbledon Round of 64 in 2002. The final three seasons produced only first-round exits.

He was most effective in his mid-20s

Rosset’s deepest Slam results clustered between ages 24 and 29: a Round of 16 at the 1995 US Open, the 1996 semifinal, the 1997 French Open Round of 16, the 1999 Australian quarterfinal, and the 2000 Wimbledon Round of 16. After age 30, his best result was only the Round of 64.
