Best run came at the 1998 Australian Open

Roux’s deepest Grand Slam result was the round of 16 in 1998 at the Australian Open, achieved at age 24. His next-best finishes were two round-of-32 runs, both in 1997 at the French Open and US Open.

French Open was his most frequent stage

He appeared at the French Open seven times, more than any other Slam in the table. Those starts produced his full range of results there, from a round of 64 in 1992 and 1994 to a round of 128 in 1993, 1995, and 1999, plus a round of 32 in 1997.

His peak years were 1997 and 1998

The strongest stretch came across 1997-1998, when he reached the round of 32 twice, then the round of 16 in 1998. In those two seasons alone, he accounted for three of his four best finishes.

He never advanced beyond the first week at Wimbledon or the US Open

Wimbledon and the US Open both topped out at the round of 32, with Wimbledon showing only round-of-128 results in 1995 and 1997. The US Open was slightly better, reaching the round of 32 in 1997 but otherwise ending in the round of 128.

His Slam career was concentrated in his early twenties

Roux’s Grand Slam span ran from 1992 to 1999, and every recorded result came between ages 19 and 26. He played 17 tournaments and finished with a 12-17 record, winning 41% of his matches.
