Peak result came at age 21

Forood’s best Grand Slam finish was the round of 16, reached twice: at the 1978 US Open and the 1980 Wimbledon. Both runs came at age 21 and 23 respectively, making the R16 her clear career peak.

Most of her Slam starts ended before the second week

Across 21 tournaments, her most common outcomes were nine R64 exits and four R32 exits, while she reached the round of 16 only twice. That distribution shows a career concentrated in early-round finishes.

Her strongest stretch was 1978 to 1980

Wimbledon produced her top result, the 1980 R16, and also a 1981 R32. By contrast, her French Open and Australian Open appearances never went beyond the round of 32.

Her final Slam season was mixed but still included a top-32 finish

In 1983, she played four Grand Slams and reached the round of 32 at the Australian Open at age 27. The other three results that year were all first-week exits: one R64 and two R128 finishes.
