Peak Slam runs came in 1983 and 1984

Horvath’s best Grand Slam results were two quarterfinals, both at the French Open in 1983 and 1984. Those were her only appearances beyond the round of 32, and they came at ages 17 and 18.

French Open was her most productive major

Across eight French Open appearances, she reached the quarterfinals twice and the round of 32 twice more, giving her four results at R32 or better there. No other Slam produced more than one result as deep as the round of 32.

Her strongest stretch was 1983-1986

From 1983 through 1986, she posted her best concentration of results: quarterfinals in 1983 and 1984, then round-of-32 finishes at the 1985 French Open, 1986 Wimbledon, and 1986 US Open. That four-year span contains all of her deepest runs.

She was already in Grand Slam draws at 14

Her first recorded Slam results came in 1979 at the US Open and in 1980 at the French Open, both at age 14. By age 16, she had already reached the round of 32 at both the 1981 French Open and 1981 US Open.

Her Slam record finished with a late decline

After reaching the round of 32 at Wimbledon and the US Open in 1986, every recorded result from 1987 to 1989 was a first-round exit. That closing stretch includes five straight R128 finishes across three seasons.
