Three Round-of-16 peaks define the career

Frawley’s best Grand Slam result was the Round of 16, reached three times: the 1984 Australian Open, the 1988 Australian Open, and the 1988 US Open. No result better than R16 appears in his 15-tournament record.

1988 was his strongest season by far

He produced two of his three R16 finishes in 1988 and added a third-round-equivalent run at Wimbledon’s R128 and a French Open R128. That year also gave him his highest match count in the data, with four Slam appearances.

Australian Open was his most productive major

Seven of his 15 Slam entries were at the Australian Open, and they produced all three of his R16 results plus two R32s, one R64, and one R128. By contrast, his other majors never went beyond the Round of 32.

His Slam career was split into two distinct phases

The results cluster in 1982-1985, then resume in 1987-1989, with no Grand Slam rows listed for 1986. The later phase contains his best stretch, including both 1988 R16 finishes.

He was already competitive as a teenager

Frawley’s first recorded Slam result came at age 17 at the 1982 Australian Open, and he reached the Round of 16 by age 19 at the 1984 Australian Open. His final listed Slam appearance came at age 24 at the 1989 US Open.
