Peak Slam run came in 1992-1994

Courier’s strongest three-year stretch is clear: he won the Australian Open and French Open in 1992, then reached the Australian Open and French Open semifinals in 1994. Across those seasons he also added the 1993 Australian Open title and 1993 Wimbledon and French Open finals.

Four major titles, all before age 23

His four Grand Slam championships came at the 1992 Australian Open, 1992 French Open, 1993 Australian Open, and 1991 French Open. Born 17 August 1970, he was 20 or 21 for each of those wins, with the last coming at age 22 in 1993.

Best results were concentrated on clay and hard courts

Courier’s title count is split evenly between the Australian Open and French Open: two wins at each event. His best Wimbledon result was two finals, while his best US Open result was one final and two semifinals, showing a narrower peak away from those two winning venues.

Late-career decline was steep after age 25

From age 25 onward, his results dropped sharply: 1996 brought two quarterfinal-equivalent “Q” finishes and a Wimbledon R128, 1997 included only one R16, and 1998-2000 produced only R128 or R64 finishes. His final listed Slam, the 2000 Australian Open, ended in R128 at age 29.
