One deep run, then a long plateau

Wimbledon produced her strongest stretch

Her only R16 came at Wimbledon in 2005, and she also reached the R64 there in 2002, 2004, and 2009. That makes Wimbledon the site of her best result and several of her better runs, compared with mostly earlier exits elsewhere.

Her most productive season was 2009

In 2009 she reached the R64 in three of the four majors: Australian Open, French Open, and Wimbledon, plus the R64 at the US Open. That was her only season with four main-draw appearances all ending no worse than the third round.

Late-career results held up into her mid-30s

Born on 4 July 1974, she was 35 or 36 in every Grand Slam appearance from 2009 through 2011. Even then she still produced a R64 at the 2011 French Open and repeated R64 finishes in 2010 at the French Open.

Her Grand Slam schedule was heavily US Open-centered early on

She appeared at the US Open in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. By contrast, her Australian Open and French Open entries begin only in 1999 and 2001 respectively, showing a much later and less frequent presence there.
